Hello, my name is Tony Wecker and I am

System Engineer

building next level infrastructure and DevOps automation

ABOUT ME

For about ten years I have been working as an IT Systems Engineer in Dresden, Germany, mainly as Linux System Administrator and DevOps Engineer.

I really enjoy working on the command line, but I prefer the constant automation of every manual step. I like to work in organized teams to design complex environments that are described in code from the very beginning: Infrastructure and servers are deployed using Terraform and Ansible. The software is managed in Git repositories based on any language, translated and packaged into Docker images using an automated pipeline. Checked for security and compliance guidelines, the application is orchestrated via Kubernetes, is highly available and is finally operated securely by defined standards.

The work in teams is the top priority. Everyone often brings in his own experiences, together new experiences are made, and one develops further in a constantly changing environment.

When I am not writing new code, I spend a lot of time with music and photography, play the piano and am planning my next trip to Iceland.
